At Simple Farmer Wines our work is dedicated to the farmers whose love for their land and whose respect for their cultures and traditions is their reason for being. For these farmers the best wine is not the biggest or the most impressive, it is the wine that speaks to their hearts and is as familiar as any family member. 

It is this simplicity that we honor with our work, the bravery to work with restraint and respect for what is naturally expressed by a place and its terroir, in a world that places such a high value on perceived luxury and ornamentation. 

Respect for place is the North Star for our farmers. It is so much easier for them to reach for this star than to seek some potentially more marketable goal.

Seth Allen

Seth Allen was born and raised in Boston, and moved to Chicago following his graduation from Tufts University. His first job was Wine Director for Convito Italiano in Wilmette, IL, and Chicago. He then started his own business, Vin Divino, which became a well known national importer of Italian and Austrian wines before opening Simple Farmer Wines. Seth is married with three grown sons.

Audra Nixon

Indiana born and raised, Audra Nixon has been an industry professional for 25 years, and has passed the WSET Level 2. Audra also has a diploma in Pastry Arts. You can find her almost any time if you follow any Dave Matthews' Tour. Audra won't waste your time with small talk and gets it done for her customers.

Sergio Valsecchi

Consigliere Sergio Valsecchi was born and raised in Bergamo, Italy, where he became an expert in Northern Italian cuisine. Sergio's fluency in Italian, Spanish and English as well as his expertise in food and wine allow him to provide uncompromised service to any type of restaurant. He later worked as an ambassador and specialist for national importer Vin Divino and later, for Winebow. Sergio takes great pride in his work and is deeply committed to his customers' needs.

William Torres

William Torres began his venture into hospitality 12 years ago in Michelin-level dining. After years in service, Will moved forward into a supplier role of various spirits. He established a network of beverage professionals in IL as well as traveling throughout the Midwest including WI, MI and OH.  Currently, Will has moved back into the service industry and teamed up with Simple Farmer Wines to share outstanding wines with friends and those that care to continue elevating the experience of hospitality.

Joe Ciriello

Joe is a seasoned wine professional with a diverse career spanning multiple continents and roles. In pursuit of an entrepreneurial vision, Joe created Dirty Bird To Go and the Dirty Bird wine bar, offering a unique "fast, slow-food" dining experience in NYC for more then 13 years.

Joe managed wine programs at Eataly Chicago, overseeing wine lists for two of its restaurants. Now, Joe has returned to wine distribution, reuniting with Matthew Fioretti as North American Sales Manager for Cerbaiona Winery, as well as a sales consultant with Simple Farmer Wines in Chicago.
